$1.oo Slice – 23rd to 26th November

An exhibition of photography and film
By Luke Moran-Morris and Oscar Hudson :    23rd – 26th November
Launch: 22nd November, 17.00
$1.oo Slice is an exhibition of material collected from a ramshackle tour of East-Coast America. From Brooklyn stoops to Louisiana swamps, the images gathered present a vibrant and engaging record of the characters encountered along the way. Featuring photography from Luke Moran-Morris, and film by Oscar Hudson, the show explores the various guises of the American character.
$1.oo Slice will make use of the Open Market in the last moments before its imminent renovation, with an eclectic, immersive experience of sounds, snapshots and moving images.
Film-artist Oscar Hudson says: “we were welcomed by tramps and millionaires and came
back with a series of powerful impressions, which together present a subjective vision of a
place which is at once familiar and beautifully alien. I guess the result could be described as a
gutter-level voyage through the American underbelly…”
Open daily, with from 11am – 6pm, 22nd – 26th November, this should not be missed.
      Also: admission is FREE
