Projects & Proposals
For a year and a half compARTment have inhabited part of Brighton’s Open Market prior to the major developments, which are now under way. It was a brilliant place to be. The space was perfect for experimentation/ new ideas and explorations of how empty city spaces can be used and an ideal pilot project.
compARTment’s main focus now, is our ARTISTS IN SPACE project to promote develop the scope of Empty Space Projects in the Brighton area – finding a new site (a large space to be used as a hub for empty space projects) and developing our ARTISTS IN SPACE website for networking and support of projects and spaces. We continue to need volunteers to work with compARTment long or short term. for ongoing development work, setting up of new projects, organising events, do publicity, website management and development etc. You can sign up right now to volunteer ! – check out our Volunteering page to join.
