Liz Lake will be holding two weeks of free printmaking workshops in exchange for plants. The workshops will explore various DIY printmaking techniques, whilst also using found, recycled and home-made materials. Participants can also contribute towards a screen-printed zine that will focus on Brighton Open Market, how people feel positive regeneration could happen there, the importance of local markets opposed to supermarkets, the history of the market and it’s relevance in terms of it’s wider community. The zine will be printed in an edition of 100-150 at the end of the workshops. The prints and plants will be on display for White Night on the 30th October. Afterward the White Night the plants will be planted in or around the market.
